The beginning.

Thank you for visiting Kilo Kilo's new blog, we appreciate your interest. We're busy writing and recording our debut material and will soon release our first single, "Safe and Sound", as a free MP3. Until then, here's a little information about who we are.

Kevin Brinkkoeter (vocals, rhythm guitar) and Kyle Cox (lead guitar, keys, vocals) have been playing and writing music together in some form or fashion since 2001. (most recently: Mice and Rifles) This new project is just another step forward. We live and write in separate cities (Austin and Houston) but thankfully live in these modern times. Instead of traditional practices, we share ideas through emailed home recordings. The bits and pieces written and recorded at home are exchanged, dissected and arranged to become the sound we call Kilo Kilo.

If you're interested in where bands get their names, our name is derived from the military/law enforcement alphabet for Kevin/Kyle, K/K, Kilo Kilo...
